Kaspersky announces removal of service

Woburn, MA — January 18, 2022 —Kaspersky’s new delete service Provides end-to-end management of the entire process of removing malicious and phishing domains. Combined with Kaspersky Digital Footprint, which helps analysts explore what adversaries think about their company’s resources, it enables companies to effectively respond to malicious origin or phishing threats against your organization and customers.

Every week, Google detects approximately46,000 new malicious sites, and Kaspersky intercepts more than 15,000 phishing and scam URLsone day. If a company fails to eliminate adversarial content, its customers could fall victim to deceptive websites and provide attackers with access to their personal and financial information. Businesses can also face serious data breaches caused by botnets controlled by an attacker’s command and control (C&C) servers. All of this can lead to brand damage, as well as loss of revenue and customer trust.

However, managing the removal of malicious and phishing domains is a complex process that requires special expertise, resources, and time. Thanks to Kaspersky’s extensive experience in threat research and long-term cooperation with international organizations and law enforcement agencies (including INTERPOL and Europol), as well as the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Kaspersky Removal Service will ensure the effective protection of enterprises online services and reputation.

Because of its global reach, the service can quickly deal with malicious phishing domains no matter where they are located. To this end, Kaspersky has prepared all the necessary evidence, including website copies, screenshots and traffic dumps, as well as manual and automated tools. They then send the takedown request to the relevant local or regional authority with the legal right to shut down the resource. Customers will be notified about each step of the process until the requested domain is successfully removed.

The service can be purchased separately or as part of a Digital Footprint Intelligence (DFI) subscription. In the first case, customers can submit a request to remove certain bad domains they discovered through their Kaspersky corporate account. Second, the DFI service will take over to identify malicious or phishing resources attacking customers. Customers will be notified that harmful content has been identified, after which a removal process may be initiated. The standard package includes ten demolitions per month and can be customized according to customer needs.

Kaspersky Digital Footprint Intelligence, powered by Takedown Service, is a great addition to our threat intelligence portfolio,”Vladimir Kuskov, Kaspersky Threat Discovery Director, commented. “Like other Kaspersky TI products, this service combines our experience to meet our customers’ real needs and relieve the burden on their cybersecurity departments, allowing in-house experts to focus on higher-priority goals.
